| The Wine Stash started in the spring of 2008, when we came together for a wine country weekend getaway to celebrate Tim's 40th and his father, Terry's 70th birthdays. The brothers flew in from various locales; Tim and Terry from Pittsburgh, Dan from Connecticut and Chris from Hong Kong. Alex, who now lived in Napa Valley helped organize the trip with Tim. He was to be their 'concierge' on the visit. |

| Longtime friends, Alex, Chris and Tim, reconnected in Napa on the warm, sunny weekend. We visited beautiful vineyards, met fabulous friends and tasted magnificent wines from all over the region. We had an idea to put together a collection of California's finest wines. We would call the collection our ' wine stash'. |

| Drinking in one delicious moment after another, charmed by the views and pleasant lifestyle we fell under the spell of the wine gods who whispered, "You should make your own wines. . ." And like so many would be winemakers before us, we drifted further and further from everyday life in pursuit of a dream. |

| Along the way we met others who shared their passion. A couple in Rutherford planted a few acres of their favorite Rhone varietals and a single row of a little known grape called Pic Poul de Panet. A retired gentleman farmed an acre of Clone 6 Cab in his backyard. A family moved to the outskirts of town to build a winery. Now we are amazed to find ourselves in this new place, holding a bottle of our own wine. |
